DESCRIPTION OF CONTENTS
OF JUKEBOX SERVICE MANUALS
Service manuals for jukeboxes are not at all like the repair books for slot machines. There is not just one manual for dozens of different machines; there is a separate manual for almost each and every jukebox made. The information in the manual is for just that one jukebox. For some jukebox models the manufacturers put out so much information that it takes more than book.
The information in these books are all of the information the manufacture originally put out on that jukebox.
In most instances the manuals (s) consist of three kinds of information:
- INSTALLATION, OPERATION AND TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDES: designed to instruct the jukebox operator how to set up, adjust and correct minor malfunction without calling a service technician. The trouble shooting guides are especially useful because they help you pinpoint the cause of the malfunction. If the malfunction requires you to replace or service a part, then you or the service technician will need a service manual.
- SERVICE MANUALS: designed to instruct the service technician how to repair and/or replace each part of the jukebox. If service updates were issued after the original service manual was issued, these updates are also included. The service manuals identifies the specific parts you will be working with. These parts are depicted in detail in the Parts Manual
- PARTS MANUAL: shows you where each part is and gives its a name and part number so you order replacement parts.
For the Wurlitzer jukeboxes, all of the above information is in one manual. For most Rockola and AMI jukeboxes, the information is in two manuals, a service manual and a parts manual. For most Seeburg jukeboxes the information is also grouped into two manuals, a service/parts manual and a trouble shooting guide. For some Seeburg jukeboxes, there are three manuals.
